Ms. Benning received her Master's degree in Biostatistics from the Harvard University School of Public Health in June 1998. She joined the STATEPI team in August 1998. Her prior professional experience includes work as a physical science technician at the Naval Research Laboratory, where she helped develop software to process and analyze data. Ms Benning collaborates with WIHS investigators on initiatives related to analysis of laboratory data. She co-authored four papers in the WIHS regarding non-AIDS deaths among women in the WIHS cohort, increasingly important in the HAART era; the longitudinal variability of low HIV RNA viral load measurements by assays in a large multicenter study; the incidence of diabetes in the WIHS associated with therapies; and longitudinal patterns of pap smear results.
