Ms. Wentz joined the STATEPI team in August 2008. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, PA in May 2004, with a B.A. in Sociology/Anthropology with a concentration in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology. Ms. Wentz is currently pursuing her MSW degree at the University of Maryland on a part-time basis. Her past work experience includes Family Interventionist for Family-Child Resources (09/07 – 08/08), Counselor for Abraxas Youth and Family Services (05/06 – 09/07), Victim Advocate for the Victim/Witness Assistance Program (08/04 – 05/06) and Intern for the Grocery Manufacturers of America (01/00 – 07/00 and 05/02 – 08/02). Ms. Wentz primary responsibilities at STATEPI include web design and maintenance, assisting in the writing of grants and protocols, completing repository requisitions for pathogenesis initiatives, maintaining and designing study databases, tracking approved study projects, implementing form and protocol revisions, and conducting quality assurance initiatives for the Women’s Interagency HIV Study (WIHS).
