| Dr. Golub earned her M.P.H. in Biostatistics from Columbia University (1995) and her Ph.D. in Infectious Disease Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health (2001). As a NIH-funded postdoctoral fellow (2001-2003), she served as co-Investigator on two multi-center randomized behavioral intervention trials of HIV and hepatitis C virus (HCV) prevention among young injection drug users. In November 2003, Dr. Golub was appointed to the faculty of the Department of Epidemiology, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health; she was promoted to Associate Scientist in June 2009.
Dr. Golub is co-Principal Investigator of the Women's Interagency HIV Study Data Management and Analysis Center (WDMAC), and is also co-Investigator with the Center for the Analysis and Management of the Multicenter AIDS Cohort Study (CAMACS). She brings epidemiologic expertise coupled with strong methodologic skills to STATEPI, having published many papers related to her areas of interest. Dr. Golub’s current research focuses on extreme HIV disease progression phenotypes, evaluation of therapies in observational settings, and the effects of HIV infection and treatment on reproductive hormones, fertility and menopause. Her responsibilities with STATEPI include collaborating with investigators and staff to design, conduct, and report the results of studies nested within the WIHS and MACS cohorts.
